Unique "SMP1812" Power Inductors from Gowanda Electronics Deliver Highest Current Rating Available in this Package Design

Gowanda Electronics announces the introduction of a new high efficiency series of surface mount power inductors. This new SMP1812 Series delivers the highest current rating of any inductor currently available in this package design.

This new inductor series will enable engineers to design circuitry with higher current handling capability AND reduced board space. With the continuing trend for smaller and smaller electronic devices and related components, the SMP1812 Series not only responds to the market need for smaller size components, but does so while delivering higher current handling performance in a standard package size. This combination of size reduction and increased performance makes the SMP1812 series extremely efficient and unique in the marketplace and will enable the pursuit of designs which can leverage the benefits of this combination.

This SMP1812 Series of surface mount inductors is specifically targeted for use in DC/DC Converters and Power Supply applications where both high performance and small size are critical for current and future products.

Specific applications include microprocessor and distributed power applications – including power supplies, power regulators, and DC to DC converters – especially in test & measurement equipment, medical diagnostic equipment, and industrial process control equipment. Other applications include use in security systems, instrumentation, bar code and laboratory analysis equipment.
