Gowanda’s GA5-392K is a high current power choke designed for demanding applications, featuring a compact size with dimensions of 10.16 × 4.064 × 4.064 mm and a weight of 0.6 g. This component is part of the GA5 series and is mounted using through-hole technology (THT), making it suitable for COTS+ grade applications. It offers an inductance of 39 µH with a direct current resistance (DCR) of 0.26 Ω and a current rating of 0.88 A DC. The choke can handle a saturation current of 480 A DC and operates at a self-resonant frequency (SRF) of 7.1 MHz, with a tolerance of ±10%. It features a lead-based termination type with a Sn63Pb37 finish and a ferrite core, although it is not shielded. The GA5-392K operates efficiently across a wide temperature range from -55°C to +125°C, has a moisture sensitivity level (MSL) of 1, and is packaged in tape and reel (T&R) format.
