Gowanda’s SMRF1512S-181KS is a shielded epoxy-coated chip inductor designed for high reliability in demanding applications. This component is part of the SMRF1512S series and features a compact size with dimensions of 3.94 × 3.175 × 3.56 mm, making it suitable for surface mount technology (SMT). It is a COTS+ grade product, ensuring compliance with commercial off-the-shelf standards. The inductor offers an inductance of 1.8 µH, a direct current resistance (DCR) of 0.2 Ω, and a current rating of 0.5 A DC. It operates efficiently with a self-resonant frequency (SRF) of 120 MHz and a test frequency of 7.9 MHz, maintaining a minimum quality factor (Q MIN) of 100. The device is capable of withstanding dielectric withstanding voltages (DWV) of 200 and 500, with a tolerance of ±10%. It features lead (Pb) termination type with a finish of Sn63Pb37 or SnCu, and is constructed with a ferrite core for enhanced performance. The inductor is shielded to minimize electromagnetic interference and operates within a temperature range of -55°C to +125°C. It is rated at moisture sensitivity level (MSL) 1 and is available in tape and reel (T&R) packaging for ease of handling and assembly.
