Gowanda Electronics Receives ISO 9001 Certification

Gowanda, NY (USA) – Gowanda Electronics was recently registered as conforming to International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001 quality management standard by NSF International Strategic Registrations, Ltd. (NSF-ISR). The audit was completed by NSF-ISR in January.

The ISO certification process entails considerable documentation of numerous manufacturing and other functions and processes within a company. Extensive training of employees is also required. The final step is a thorough audit of the company’s systems to verify conformance to ISO requirements. ISO is a quality management system recognized worldwide that includes the day to day operation of all functions within a company. The ISO 9001 certification relates specifically to companies involved in design and development of products – as well as their manufacture – and is generally recognized as the highest level of achievement within the ISO quality management system.
