Grand Opening of Gowanda Electronics’ New Facilities

State of the Art Facilities – Ribbon Cutting & Tours

Gowanda, NY (USA) – Gowanda Electronics will host a Grand Opening of its new 40,000 sq.ft. facilities today. The ribbon cutting will be at 10:30am, followed by tours. This new facility houses the company’s worldwide headquarters as well as manufacturing, sales, engineering, product development and administration

The ceremony will occur at One Magnetics Parkway (aka Townsend Ave.) in Gowanda, NY. The day’s events will be hosted by David Schaack, President of Gowanda Electronics.

Special guests will include members of state, regional, county and local governments, utilities and private organizations. All these entities have been instrumental in assisting Gowanda Electronics with this project. Key to the project was Gowanda Electronics’ desire to stay in the Gowanda, NY community, where it has been located since its inception in 1963.

Both NYS Senator Pat McGee and NYS Assemblyman Dan Burling assisted Gowanda Electronics at the state level with issues relating to this project.

Other individuals and organizations that have contributed to the success of the project include members of the village, town, county, state, utility and financial communities:

  • Gowanda Village Board
  • Town of Persia Board
  • Cattaraugus County Legislature Chairman – Jess Fitzpatrick
  • Cattaraugus County IDA Director – Norm Leyh
  • Cattaraugus County Economic Development Agency Director – Tom Livak
  • Southern Tier West Senior Regional Economic Development Coordinator – Tom Barnes
  • NYS Empire State Development Regional Director – Luke Rich
  • NYSEG Western Regional Manager for Economic Development – Rick Rebadow
  • KeyBank

Prior to construction of this new headquarters facility, Gowanda Electronics was operating out of three different locations in the Village of Gowanda. The company had grown over the years through a series of site-specific expansions, but lacked a single presence as a result of the evolutionary nature of its growth. This new state-of-the-art facility on Magnetics Parkway allows the company to have all its operations – including worldwide headquarters, sales, manufacturing, engineering, research and administration – at one site. The new facilities will enable Gowanda Electronics to maximize efficiencies and increase capacity to meet the growing demand for its electronic components.

Due to the particular nature of the Townsend Ave. site, the only site in the immediate area which suited Gowanda Electronics’ needs, infrastructure upgrades – and the requisite funding and support for these upgrades to the water, sewer, storm drainage and roadway systems – were necessary prior to the initiation of the building project. As a result, the assistance and cooperation of many individuals from government and private organizations were essential for Gowanda Electronics’ project to move forward.

Gowanda Electronics has been a global supplier of high performance magnetic components and solutions to a broad range of applications for almost four decades. The newly constructed facility is just one more example of Gowanda Electronics’ ongoing commitment to performance – and to the local community that has played a pivotal role in the company’s success.
