New “Miniaturized” Surface Mount Inductors

Gowanda, NY (USA) – Gowanda Electronics announces the introduction of a new series of vertical surface mount, toroidal power inductors. This new SMP2007 Series consists of miniaturized high current inductors, well-suited for power supply applications where maximum current-handling capacity AND minimum size are equally important. The SMP2007 series from Gowanda Electronics delivers unique performance in a space saving, “pick and place” vertical mount package that minimizes external magnetic fields.

The series utilizes a unique housing – developed internally at Gowanda Electronics – which allows the inductor to be mounted vertically, taking up less board space than other designs on the market. The SMP2007 was designed in response to the market’s need for components which occupy less board space – in concert with overall miniaturization of the board.

This SMP2007 series of surface mount inductors is specifically targeted for use in DC/DC Converters and Power Supply applications where both high performance and small size are critical for current and future products. This new series addresses the needs of leading-edge electronic applications, where the demand for increased efficiency within smaller-footprint circuit board designs is challenging even the best electronic design engineers.
