New Surface Mount Inductors for Power Applications

Gowanda, NY (USA) – Gowanda Electronics has introduced a new series of surface mount inductors designed for use in power applications where high current handling capability and surface mount packaging are required. This new SMP5057 Series was showcased by Gowanda Electronics at the Power Electronics Technology Exhibition and Conference in Rosemont, Illinois (USA) last week.

This SMP5057 Series of surface mount inductors is specifically targeted for use in DC/DC converters and switching regulated power supplies. The rugged construction enables the SMP5057 inductors to be used in these and many other power supply applications where higher current handling capability and durability are important.

Specific applications include microprocessor and distributed power applications – including power supplies, power regulators, and DC to DC converters – especially in test & measurement equipment, automotive electronics, medical diagnostic equipment, and industrial process control equipment. Other applications include use in security systems, instrumentation, bar code and laboratory analysis equipment.
